Teams Integration Guide

Introduction

Teams is a cloud-based collaboration platform that enables teams to communicate, collaborate, and share content in real-time. Teams provides a wide range of features and capabilities, including instant messaging, video and audio conferencing, file sharing and collaboration, project management, and integration with other Microsoft and third-party applications and services. This guide will walk you through the steps required to integrate Teams with Perimeters.

Prerequisites

  • A Microsoft Teams Essentials subscription, or alternatively, Microsoft 365 Business Basic subscription or higher.

  • A User Account with Team member and Owner Permissions along with Privileged Role Administrator, Global Reader and Teams Administrator Role, or alternatively, a Global Administrator Role.

Use

Access Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business data as the signed in user

Read Access to Microsoft Teams Settings and Configurations.

Read directory data

Read Access to Organization Information, Roles, Role Assignments and Third Party Applications.

Read the names and descriptions of teams

Read Access to Organization Teams.

Read the members of teams

Read Access to Organization Team Members.

Read all users' full profiles

Read Access to Users' Detailed Profiles.

Read and query your audit log activities

Read Access to Organization Audit Logs

Read Reports

Note : Perimeters utilizes Microsoft Graph APIs and Microsoft Teams Module for deep integration, therefore Perimeters requests two types of OAuth tokens for both services.

Onboarding Teams in your Perimeters account

  1. Go to "Integrations" -> Select "Microsoft Teams" -> Click "+ Add" -> Click "+ Start Integration".

  2. “Step 1: OAuth” - Click "Sign in with Microsoft Teams" to give Perimeters access to your Organization (Microsoft Teams) Inventory.

  3. "Step 2: OAuth" - Click "Sign in with Microsoft Teams" to give Perimeters access to your Microsoft Teams Settings.

  4. Click "Finish" to complete the onboarding process.

Once you have completed these steps, Teams should be successfully integrated with your Perimeters account.
